From New York to Singapore: Eleanor Roosevelt High School STEM Racing Team Shines at World Finals

The Eleanor Roosevelt High School STEM Racing team represented the United States at the STEM Racing World Finals held in Singapore during the week of 9/24-10/1/25. The team of ElRo students; Mac DiPaola, Sofia Koe, Joshua Liz, Harrison Sherer, as well as recent graduates William Leung and Michael Wen performed admirably in the school’s first ever World Finals, finishing 44th out of 83 participating teams. The team was the inaugural winner of the Race Behind the Race Award sponsored by DHL for their promotional video and was honored with a tour of the F1 paddock prior to the race in Singapore as well as a tour of the DHL Innovation Center. The team was accompanied by Coach Chin Sung Lin (ERHS STEM Department), Principal Dimitri Saliani and SBM Damaris Frias, who were proud to be there to support the team during this amazing opportunity and adventure.
